Creation

Creation

A Poem by Jonathan Lee

In the beginning God laughed,

and the laugh saw that He was Good.

The Lord danced on the waters,

and all the world rejoiced.

He reigned in the clouds,

and the sky smiled at His touch.

He raised up the land,

and it tremored with delight.

Trees burst from the ground,

and the Lord smiled in return.

Life sprung into being,

and it knew Love.

Joy. Peace. Freedom.

In the beginning all was good,

and the good was all God saw.

Brilliant - i love this! It's very short and concise. it is so positive but there is a hint of future woes in the last verse.
I have just written a creation story inspired by a few things that happened on a trip to Sri lanka you might like to read - called 'Gaia'
