The TreeA Story by Shannon PearceA Metaphor for Love
The seasons change from summer to Autumn, then winter.
The leaves a bright lushes green, start to turn to a yellow and brown blend of colours and eventually die. They fall gracefully to the ground to join the others that too have fallen due to the changing weather conditions, that they could no longer bare. On the floor lay a heap of dried up leaves, each unique in their own right, but none the less could not survive the cold winter storms. But the tree.. It stands firm, rooted into the earth. Naked and bare. vulnerable. Awaiting the new season and ready to blossom into its beautiful glory once again. © 2016 Shannon Pearce |
