Lost

Lost

A Poem by Shannon Pearce
"

Unrequited love

"
I sit, I stand, I wander..
Is this how it ends? I ponder.

His lips, his hands, his eyes..
So this is how our love dies?

My mind, my body, my soul..
My heart my love, you stole.

You really have a thing for heartaches and heartbreaks. I hope the experience hasn't been manifold....that in itself would be heartbreaking.....but hey, hasn't every poet been there?

This is simple but absolutely poignant. Nothing but praise for this poem. Well done!

Hello Shannon, I find this poem very to the point. Specially your rhyming stands out here to me. The beginning of the poem gives us an opportunity to see the poet wandering hopelessly in search of her lost love and the poem keeps the sadness throughout...
