Climbing to the top

I see you there

Crawling and fighting back the tears

I see you there

Struggling to hold on

I see you there

Every inch I get closer to you

I see you there

I finally reach the top but….

You’re not there

Where did you go?

How could you be so cold?

You watched me crawling and struggling to get to you

Just as I reached the top….you turned and walked away
