Like A Lie

Like A Lie

A Poem by ShannielleFaith
"

Prompt: How does a broken plate feel?

"
Cool, dry shards spear the skin
drawing red blood on white.
Tangy glass digging deeper and deeper.
Shredding, tearing, combining inside you.

Microscopic teeth eat away
chomping flesh, implanting decay.
Cut with each movement.
Hold still and stop as
the sharpness sucks you dry.
