Blood DeficiencyA Poem by ShannielleFaithInspired by the song, Passenger, by Deftones (feat. Maynard James Keenan)
Completely dependent, I cling to it.
Needing this as I lay dormant in my bed. A craving; you feed to me your own fingers. How generous of you. The velvety warmth drips from my chin and pours from my purple lips. I love your filling poison. Give me your arm now. This once sweet taste now turns bitter in my mouth. I've simply taken from myself, my screaming, withered body. You laugh with twisted satisfaction and bulging eyes. I will only laugh, too because I still want you for myself. Show me how to be powerful. I will be eaten alive; no need for reason. I'm a victim of this voodoo. I will always listen as you want me to. They hold a mirror to my face, but all I see is you. I crave this still, peering from behind closed eyes. My body without limbs and stomach starving. My face a swollen pulp; you always are so faithful. © 2012 ShannielleFaithAuthor's Note
