My Denial (a villanelle)

My Denial (a villanelle)

A Poem by ShannielleFaith
"

This is a poem I wrote a couple years back when I actually had talent.

"
Her sparkling eyes that bind
silkenly glazed with despair
take over my tainted mind.

Slow my heartbeat as my teeth grind.
Dream and imagine, she will appear.
Her sparkling eyes that bind.

She is the artful kind.
Her musical winds of care
take over my tainted mind.

Repetitive possibilities and signs.
So familiar a stare,
her sparkling eyes that bind.

Admire her distrust, the perfect crime.
Shut the door on her if you dare,
take over my tainted mind.

Her cheeks now sink with time.
She should know we were the perfect pair.
Her sparkling eyes that bind
take over my tainted mind.
