Part 1
There is a explanation that an entity created, two sons. One created hell, the other created heaven. As time passed new rulers were made in hell. On heaven however the son found these beings called ‘The Greater Angels’ and passed his power unto them, bringing the start of the angels. Both hell and heaven searched the wildlands (a vast piece of land separating both), both civilisations finally met. Their happiness of discovery soon turned to violence as a war raged for land, power over the other. One of the Greater Angels realising the strength of hell got a demon and using it’s life, sought to make himself stronger. This began the beginning of the Archangels and the Greater Archangel Gabriel. Heaven has a civil war until the archangels and Gabriel were defeated.
On a dark night in hell. Sousan, Ruler of hell has two sons born, Dervish and Ivan. His wife dies at child birth much to his dismay saying she fears for the future. On streets of hell a stranger dumps a basket on someone’s porch knocking door. Osaris (soldier) and his wife find a baby in it and call him Matius. Matius grows up and Osaris takes interest. One day Matius sees Osaris’s sword room and Osaris shows how to use sword and teaches him sword fighting. Many years pass and Osaris considers quitting the army, they go to markets and Matius sees friend of Osaris (who is a trader) with weapons and becomes inspired.In the royal throne Ivan and Dervish older meet Sousan and Sousan explains that they will both have to fight each other for right of ruler when Sousan dies. Next night Osaris has several soldiers meet him at night telling of problem in wildlands, might need to investigate. Next day Soldiers meet him again and Osaris leaves Matius and wife alone. Next few weeks Osaris doesn’t return and Matius is very upset. One night stranger comes over and tells Matius you will make Osaris proud.
One night Dervish finds something strange about his power which makes him freak out, he blackens the mirror upon touching it. Sees Ivan later and shows off his power, Ivan himself is anxious about Dervish’s power. Matius joins the academy and is shown around the Royal palace halls, at the end of the tour they are shown their dormitories and timetable lessons. Dervish and Ivan also see Matius with the tour guide and both sons get into trouble, angering Sousan (he is very protective of them) Sousan admits to Ivan he fears Dervish’s power, what if he cannot control it? Ivan talks to Dervish and Ivan reassures him there is still hope. Matius next day has weapon training and is better than his trainer expected, he gets friends quickly, Cain, Isaac and Stephanie. Matius then has history lesson finding out the beginning of hell and learning about ‘people who are ruler’s are a desendant of the first ruler (the entity’s son). Dervish starts having nightmares in his sleep, someone hearing Dervish screaming goes to help him only for Dervish to blacken her hand permanently injuring her. Sousan finds out.
Matius is growing popular with several of the students except on who is envious of Matius, in weapon training both duel it out and Matius wins, suprising everyone. People start to hear about the incident of Dervish blackening the women’s hand, branding him a freak a nightmare. Ivan tries to help Dervsh, assure him in time you will control your power. On a geography tour Matius and several students get a taste of the wildlands for the first time, Matius realizing it’s a big world out there. Dervish walking down the corridor gets held up by some men who bully Dervish, Dervish gives in killing the two boys with his power. Sousan turns a blind eye pretending he didn’t hear anything.
Part 2
Several years pass since Matius joined the academy and has his graduation ceremony along with his friends to begin work in the army, Many of his friends become privates while him and select few become leaders of their own squad. At this time both Ivan and Dervish are having a sparing match amongst a crowded sparing hall. Dervish is mastering his power, using it as an extension of himself much to Ivan’s surprise. Dervish wins the duel with Sousan watching but much to his frustration pays more attention to Ivan.. Dervish shows a interest in the portrait of Sousan’s brother Kravos. Matius is given his first mission as squad leader to find and bring back trades missing, they go into wildlands and find traders. They also gain a reward from the traders for their protection. At this time angels have come to the east gate of hell, Ivan and several men confronts them only for it to be an attack by the heretic angels, Ivan’s arm is severely burnt much to Sousan’s dismay. Sousan and Dervish out, Dervish believes it as an act of war while Sousan believes the angels are not responsible Matius sees his mother for the first time in months only for the army to call him up for another mission. Matius gets his men ready as they venture into the wildlands to cut down the populace of a dangerous beast. Ivan meets Sousan once more his burnt arm nothing more than bone. The meeting over he finds Dervish in his dormitory, who says they should mercifully kill Sousan and both take the throne, Ivan declines the offer as Dervish jumps off Ivan’s balcony. In the wildlands Matius’s camp is attacked by the beasts as several of his men go down. They find their territory and kill many of them, their job done they head back to hell. Matius and his men arrive back at hell being greeted by applause by crowd of people.
They celebrate their victory by having some drinks only for Dervish to show his face. He says they are wasted potential and offers them a chance to join his cult, to bring change to hell. Ivan confronts Sousan about his meeting with Dervish and shows the leaflets about Dervish who is recruiting people for his cult. His life in danger Sousan agrees to have Dervish killed, sending some assassins after him. Dervish is killed in his sleep as the assasins inform their job is done. Matius is given another mission with men finding a gifted missing soldier in the wildlands, it turns out that one of Matius’s men is an angel shapeshifter who deceives his men, killing them. This is his first doubt about his job.
Sousan and Ivan hold a funeral for Dervish, covering up his murder as he died in the wildlands (the body is burnt). Later on at night a homeless man gets attacked by a wave of ash. Matius is sent on another mission against angels, his allies seem to enjoy killing them too much. As Matius is about to strike at an angel he looks into the eyes of an angel no older than 17. Two of Dervish’s most trusted cultists meet a new Dervish (a body made of ash). They give their bodies to him so he can finally realize his dream. Sousan starts to become paranoid, his soldiers losing confidence in him. Matius starts having nightmares as he questions his job, is heaven really an enemy? Do we have to fight?
Dervish as ash finally meets his cultists and gets ready for a civil war. Dervish plans to use his cultists as a diversion while he confronts Sousan in throne room. Sousan is in his throne room until he’s informed that a civil war has broken out, he sends his men to hold back Dervish’s cultists (not knowing that Dervish is responsible). Ivan is caught up in the civil war as one of his elite guard mentions Dervish being alive, realizing the civil war is a diversion Ivan heads to the royal palace with his elite guard. Matius says goodbye to a dying friend before decided he will quit the army.
Part 3
Several hours have passed since the civil war started, the fighting near finished. Matius confronts the army recruiter and declares he quits saying he’s had enough of watching people die. At night he goes to his mother telling him of his choice, explaining how he will find something new in his life. Near the throne room Ivan and his remaining elite guard, move through the royal corridors at night. They enter the throne room only to find destruction, broken windows, blackened walls and the falling rain outside. Ivan realizes they are too late. Matius is sleeping soundly the next day when he is interrupted as soldiers burst into his mother’s house. Matius is to be charged with murder as both him and his mother are dragged out the house, everything falls black. When Matius awakes again he’s taken to the cells to await his trial. Dervish meets the soldier responsible for Matius’s framing, pleased the task has been done. Sousan’s last will is to make Ivan next ruler, much to Dervish’s annoyance who seeks to overturn this (he remains in hiding for now”.
Matius finds out he’s been charged for the murder of Sousan and is sentenced to death by the winds, lead into arena as winds kill him. Somehow Matius comes back to life escaping the arena, as Ivan watches. Dervish noticing Matius flying in escape, needs Matius captured otherwise his plans could be ruined. Matius flies to the outskirts of hell as demons give chase to him, using a power his father taught him Matius teleports from hell escaping hell’s forces. Matius wakes up realizing he’s teleported himself on earth arriving in an alley. Matius quickly looks in awe at this new world before helping a women in an attempted mugging (her name is Eva). In hell at night Dervish confronts the soldier responsible for Matius’s framing, killing his for his failure.
Eva returns to her home late at night much to her parent’s anger, she explains someone tried to mug her but someone saved her. Next day Ivan is talking to relatives to Sousan, being sincere about Sousan’s death and Matius’s escape. They then talk to him about taking the throne over. As they discuss this Dervish arrives dismissing his death as false and his dead body that of a heretic angel in an attempt to cause an uprising from his men (lies). Questions Ivan’s character by questioning why Matius hasn’t been captured yet. Matius on earth finds an abandoned house, using it as his home for now. He questions who would have framed him. Eva meets her friends uptown late at night and talk about upcoming prom. Eva talks to her friends about the stranger who saved her that night. Eva realizes she needs to catch the bus, only to miss the last bus available. She also has no phone credit, her only option to walk.
On heaven cloaked figures talk about the death of Sousan, they believe Matius isn’t the one who killed him since he’s not powerful enough. One of the angels is sent on a mission to observe Matius. Eva walks through an alley only to get ambushed by five men, who start picking on her. Matius arrives at the scene taking care of all five, but much to his frustration Eva sees Matius’s scarred face running away in fear. On hell Ivan is expected to be announced new ruler of hell. Much to his surprise Dervish enters his dormitory explaining that the higher ups favor him. Ivan gives warning to Dervish since he knows his dark side. The next several days Dervish ready’s himself for his coronation, noticing ash pieces under his newly formed skin (disguise is failing). He promises many changes to hell and to end Matius. On earth an angel walks out of a water fountain, watching out for Matius.
Next day the angel disguised walks down the street, noticing newspaper with stuff about Matius. He picks it up pondering what Matius will do, when he sees their reactions. Eva gets herself ready for college prom, while thinking about Matius (she has part of his cloak). Dressed her parents take her to prom building as she meets her friends. Later on she is drunk and decides to get fresh air on roof. Tipsy she falls over (faints). Matius saves Eva holding onto her just as police burst onto the roof. Matius puts her back onto roof as the police open fire on him. Eva wakes up and his angry at police for shooting at him (him saving her life). Two helicopters give chase to Matius before firing a missile at him, Matius crashes into alley left to die. Eva screams in anger as she’s put in police car.
Matius wakes up inside Eva’s home, she explains she found him dying. Matius will only be there until his wounds are healed (both her parents are nervous about him). Several hours later Matius tries human food hating some and liking other food. Matius explains what happened to him to eva. Week later Matius recovers from his wounds and receives necklace from Eva. Eva says it will give him luck, she also advices him to go to church. The spy angel informs those on heaven that Matius won’t harm the people of earth, trying to befriend people. The spy angel may reveal his identity to Matius. Matius prays for forgivness at church but grows frustrated, meets the vicar of the church befriends him. One day his prayers are interrupted as police enter church looking for him.
Men who made fun of Eva, find out about her rich father and plan to ransom him. One of them having a gun. Several days later the men try to kidnap Eva, Matius gets involved to stop them. One of them shoots Eva’s father by mistake. Funeral of Eva’s father is held, Matius feeling guilty for the passing away. Some days later the angel spy reveals himself to Matius named as Lemionas. He explains war is coming to earth and he will train him. Reveals that Dervish is responsible for Matius’s predicament. On hell Dervish questions Matius’s mother about his whereabouts, she doesn’t know much to his annoyance. He declares in two weeks hell will attack earth.
Part 4
To begin their training Lemionas takes Matius to lake near heaven, in order to find balance and stability in himself. He has to walk on water, become one with the calm peaceful water. That training done they head to wildlands near heaven, this part of training is about survival and using environment. Matius has to climb mountain with little protection. Matius succeeds in training and Lemionas informs him he will see him in a week south on the beach. Matius waits for a week and meets Lemionas at the beach at night, Lemionas opens a pathway to heaven using a pillar portal hidden in the sea, both leaving earth.
They both arrive at heaven as Matius is given odd looks, Lemionas explains Matius is an outsider here (they don’t like people from hell in their city. Lemionas explains he’s held a meeting with the angelic council to show Matius as a changed man and in order to bring aid to Earth. Lemionas talks to Matius about the greater angels and the first archangel, they walk to Lemionas home where they sleep for the night. On hell Dervish is having problems keeping his normal appearance (body turning to ash). Dervish states he’s losing control over his power. His servant watches as Dervish wrecks his dormitory in anger.
At night Matius is having bad dreams about a figure of pure light destroying the darkness. Lemionas talks to him saying there might a reason behind his dream. Next day Dervish has meeting with higher ups about their attack on earth. Dervish will only send demons and the sinned souls of earth. When earth falls he will send his army to heaven. In morning Lemionas and Matius go to the angelic council building, Lemionas warns Matiua to be respectful to them. In hell Ivan meets a servant of his explaining that he will train secretly in the wildlands in order to defeat Dervish Matius loses his cool at the sensitive council, because of this heaven will not send aid of earth. Matius is frustrated in himself, knowing he’s denied earth help. Lemionas reassures Matius that he can save them.
On hell Dervish returns to his dormitory, finding the damage of his outburst repaired. He notices the blackened marks on the wall, realizing his potential power if he gives in. With a hunger for power Dervish sacrifices his appearance to become a being of ash, he kills his servant before heading for the throne room. He demands the attack ro begin to the higher ups as they are taken by surprise at his new appearance. Matius and Lemionas return to earth, finding that it’s already under attack by the demons of hell. Both get separated as Lemionas falls down a crevasse. Alone Matius makes his way into London passing people who have lost their homes and loved ones. A women begs Matius to save her boyfriend but he is unable to.
Matius enters outskirts of London abandoned, he gets attacked by a winged demon. A shopkeeper saves Matius as he introduces himself, leads Matius to other survivors who watch the television. Ivan continues his trek into the wildlands, into volcano wastelands. He is ambushed by large reptiles, from his attack Ivan awakens his true power. Matius now in London walks through streets, meeting survivors (they blame him for these attacks) and also seeing Eva. They both get attacked by demons on the way to cemetery (she can pay her respects to her father. They reach the cemetery as Eva pays her respects. The souls of the sinned finally make their appearance as they take over dead bodies (undead) , rising from gravestones. They run back to main entrance avoiding undead when a man with shotgun saves them, he blames Matius for it.
Realizing the souls of the sinned must be stopped Matius ventures away from the city in a large open area, planning to use himself as bait he sends his energy outwards (sinned know Matius’s energy and move in to take him down. Dervish finds out that Ivan has left hell and decides to seek him out in the wildlands. Matius fights the undead as rain falls, overwhelmed he unleashes a blast of energy before falling unconscious. On hell Ivan satisfied with his workout decides he’s ready to face Dervish. Matius wakes up once more finding Lemionas alive, they are suddenly called to help as a burning building is close to falling people still inside. Matius goes inside building saves people, crowd starts to watch Matius as he saves them from it collapsing on them.
Realising Earth must be saved, Matius says goodbye to Eva before him and Lemionas teleport to face Dervish. They are already outclassed as Dervish attacks them, using surroundings to his advantage. Dervish starts to grow frustrated Dervish knocks down Matius before ripping his wings of. Sensing Matius in danger Lemionas fights Dervish, easily outclassed. Just as Lemionas looks finished Matius rises back up with a new life. With Matius stronger than before Dervish questions Matius as to why he’s helping these people. He will be the last monster left. Matius enraged attacks Dervish as both their energy’s collide at a stand off. Realizing the energy is still increasing Matius realizes he’s going to die, relieved however that Dervish will join him. The war ends as Lemionas teleports back to earth stating that Matius is dead, holding a little part of cloth (which belonged to Matius). He is made a martyr and everyone sees him as a hero. On hell Ivan returns to find Dervish has been defeated, now he is the new ruler. On heaven Lemionas talks to the angelic council, stating Matuis’s death and why he believes change will happen.
Part 5
Several days have passed since Dervish was defeated by Matius. Eva now goes to university, hoping Matius is still alive as she feels alone. On hell Ivan has made a truce with heaven, showing his men the results. Citizens regaining confidence, angels visiting hell to learn of culture and way of life. He states this is what Sousan dreamed of, both civilisations uniting. In some unknown place Matius awakens alongside Dervish. Dervish explains they are in what people call purgatory; he states he might be cast down into the underworld for the most dangerous of souls to be trapped forever. Dervish vows to have revenge against Matius, breaking out of his cell. Free he spots a soul (Craig) mentioning Matius, using his power he enters the boy's soul. Craig starts having nightmares (Dervish taking over…) Next day her mother notices a drawing Craig's done which unsettles her. She takes Craig to school as he starts seeing things, no one can see. Blackened buildings, playground. In lesson Craig starts seeing things before falling unconscious.
Craig's mother finds out about his son and picks him up from school. Craig is given time off school to recover, he continues to have nightmares and aggressive behavior. She finally takes him to doctor's to find out that his problems are in the subconscious (something going on in his head). The doctor's cannot help. Matius meanwhile breaks free from his cell and notices his cross glowing. Several weeks after doctor's Craig's blackouts are more frequent and having a physical effect on him. Craig cleaning his teeth sees Dervish in the mirror staring back at him, in fear he throws glass cup at mirror breaking it. Piece of glass showing Dervish declaring 'you cannot escape me…' Craig leaves the house and heads into central Birmingham where Dervish finally takes control. Craig becomes Dervish, killing many people. Some police arrive at the scene who tries to take down Dervish, only to fail. On heaven Lemiona's eyes widen realizing Dervish has returned, wonders why Matius hasn't returned. He goes to the council begging them to aid. Council head refuses to help and attempts to attack Lemionas. Turns out council head was a heretic angel. They find council head and sends Lemionas and some angels to hell to inform Ivan of his brother's return.
Matius teleports to alley in London, frustrated with himself. Goes to look for Dervish. A train near london gets attacked by Dervish's ash as two people manage to leap off, they witness a ash blackened train go by. Back on earth Matius goes through the outskirts of London, reflecting on the damage done. Heads for Birmingham. On hell Lemionas visits Ivan explaining that Dervish has returned and asks for help, suggests it could be the start of hell and heaven working together. Ivan tells him me that he himself will go, his brother is his responsibility. Outskirts of London Eva lives with her grandmother, Eva watches the news about attacks in London. Watches new reporters get attacked by ash on motorway. The house gets attacked by Dervish as Eva runs upstairs. Both her and grandmother die.
Matius alone walks for ages, Lemionas teleports by Matius, explaining that help is coming. Matius explains he was in purgatory with Dervish. Angels from heaven and Ivan himself arrive on earth. It turns out Dervish is still in London as everyone is teleported there. Ivan explains his story about Dervish to the angels and Matius when they meet him. Dervish grows in size from all the ashes bodies as everyone fights him in the air. One of the female angels dies infuriating the other angel. Ivan gets smashed through building glass, then trying to attack Dervish. Lemionas using his power traps Dervish. They think Dervish is beat until ash erupts from the ground below them. Ivan and Dervish fight it out, Dervish congresses he killed Sousan enraging Ivan. Ivan goes all out unlocking his power (from training in wild lands) fights Dervish only to be unconscious. Lemionas too drained Matius continues fight using Ivan's sword. Matius gets pushed back, but is saved by unknown power. Matius finally defeats Dervish as his body disappears from Ivan's sword. Unable to sense Eva, Matius brings her back to life along with her grandmother, Craig and several others.
