Chapter 9

 All around him the surroundings are blackened. He himself is crouched on a wrecked car, the roof completely given way because of his weight. The glass decorates the car bonnet. Like a beast he looks towards them menacingly. “ahhh brother it’s soo good to meet you after these long years...” He turns his head looking at Matius, “...and I see you have brought friends along with you” He gives a little smile. “They will not be enough. For I am far stronger than before” His eyes but slits of pure hate. A smile spreads across his face. He then leaps of the car, (crushing it even more) into the middle road, cracking it; black smoke fills the air above. Then slowly he rises himself in the air like a huge behemoth. His eyes remain on the group, judging his opponents. 

 Both the angels take nervous steps backwards, Matius and Ivan remain unmoved. Then in the sky large clouds of ash gather from the sky, closing in on Dervish, they circle around him like a cyclone. More smoke is gathered, the cyclone getting thicker as the group lose sight of Dervish. The size of the cyclone gets larger and more vigorous, making small loose objects join the cyclone. Matius can only watch in horror, all those people, and how many has he killed? How many has that b*****d killed? Matius thinks disgustedly, the other group members look worried while Ivan looks calm and completely unsurprised, showing no sight of emotion. 

The smoke becomes clearer, the cyclone slows down. All of the group try to see through the smoke. Then Dervish slowly rises into the air roaring, his body rises at sixty feet tall in height as his huge figure looks down at the group, his eyes filled with malice. He fixes his eyes on Ivan, and then his gaze shifts to Matius. The entire group stare at Dervish, completely stuck for words, black smoke pours from him. “You are not more than a nuisance. Nothing more!” One of the rookie angels loses patience and launches herself into the air (taking Dervish by surprise) with her spear in her hand. The sunlight shines on her holy white armour. 

 Suddenly a trail of black smoke heads towards the angel and hits her in the side. Falling head first, blacker smoke home on her. Tendril of smoke, slide and cover her entire body. All the group watch in horror as they see her fall down, her white armour and her skin, blackened from the smokes attack. Then her body turns black and disintegrates like wood in a. fire. 

 The other rookie angel looks furious as he burns holes through Dervish with his eyes. "That was my only family member you murderer!" the rookie shouts, rage written across his face, intent on revenge. Dervish turns towards the rookie, tilting his head, "So what are you going to do about it?" he mutters, raising his head testing him. The rookie looks as if he's about to charge. "Don't listen to him!" Lemionas shouts gripping the angel's shoulder, holding him back, "This is what he wants," gritting his teeth, "Don't listen to him!" Dervish looks annoyed as Lemionas says these words. The angel is still shaking with rage until Matius leans towards then rookie and speaks to him, "We'll need you if we are to take this guy down, you're better than him". The angel closes his eyes, letting everything go as he unclenches his fists. As the rookie calms down his body relaxes. Dervish just stares then turns his head in annoyance in his own stupidity he hasn't kept his eyes on the group. Realising this he quickly looks back to the spot, noticing they have gone. 

All of a sudden he feels a burning sensation as his skin burns, as Ivan's long black sword slices his side, spilling black smoke. He moves back unbalanced sluggishly. Lemionas below trys to attack legs, blowing away parts of ash using his abilities. Dervish twists his head in anger, trying to grab Lemionas. He manages to dodge Dervish’s ash hand descending down, ash trails following him. With Dervish distracted Matius trys to attack Dervish’s back. Going off balance Dervish loses solidity, shifting, changing in the air. Fully formed he fixes his eyes on the rookie angel who remains still. Using this as a opportunity, Ivan launches himself at Dervish. Instinctively he moves his arm with force, hitting Ivan through a building, smashing the glass as he hits a work chair in the room filled with computers and chairs. Matius tries to attack Dervish’s legs, hopping to unbalance him as bits of ash break away. To Dervish this is just a mere annoyance as he sends smoke to deal with Matius, who then retreats, going through the streets avoiding the ash trails touch. Lemionas summons energy in his hands before lauching it at Dervish in anger. The invisible forces make contact with Dervish, breaking weak ash as he slams into a building knocking it, Lemionas watches in satisfaction.

Back in the building Ivan slowly gets up from the chair noticing his brother is falling over. Seizing his chance he grabs his long sword dragging it along the floor and leaps out of the broken window he came from, the sunlight catching his skin making the long blade shine.Using all his strength, he raises his sword bringing it down on his fallen brother. Unfortunately Dervish has seen him in the last second; quickly his body breaks away, turning into smoke. Ivan’s sword slams into the ground with force, breaking the pavement. Ivan twists his head in annoyance, watching Dervish reform. Watching this rookie angel uses telekinesis, breaking pavement from the streets below. The pieces rise to the air steadily before being hurtled at Dervish. They slam into him, breaking apart with no effect.

"Enough!" Dervish lashes his ash like arm, its smoke in the area follows suit as they home in, engulfing the angel. The members can only watch hoping he remains alive from the attack, knowing it's impossible. As the smoke disperses he isn't there. 

 It sinks in. The angel is dead, Lemionas looks down upset, Matius looking beat, and Ivan looks annoyed lifting his head, "I swear, you will pay!" he screams, the words filled with bravery and determination lift up Matius's and Lemionas's moods. Lemionas rises into the air as he glares down at Dervish as he raises his head, Lemionas starts doing a circular motion with his hands making a small cyclone beneath Dervish, trapping him. Dervish tries to escape from it but it's no use as when he makes contact with the cyclone ash breaks of. 

 Dervish roars with rage as Lemionas puts more pressure on moving his hands faster, causing more ash to break off. Matius watches with satisfaction, "He's back to his best" he thinks, "and he's gaining the hand." Ivan just watches in amazement, the power of the cyclone blowing his hair. Then Dervish smirks as most of his body has turned from ash into smoke, remaining only his head. Infuriating Lemionas quickly moves his hands to the side crushing Dervish, dust filling the air.
