Redemption

Redemption

A Poem by Shanny

In this temple
I hear gods in every susurrus
they freeze my limbs
they weep for my soul
the face from the mirror
leads me to the altar
wears in white at day
wears in black at night
my heart avulsed from chest
falling to the holy ground
so close to death- they whisper
and crying for me to die
screams inside my mind
insane pain slaughters me slowly
vast cauldron is staying among
the circle of creatures
they sacrificed for immortality
now they are dumb and forgotten
their bodies are rotten
I hear laughting beside my ears
I see sharp iron in their hands
I crave for release
no one hears my screams
my body aches
my senses pales
doom within all my world
cursed the day I met them
