Gloomy LensA Poem by Shane MohamedOf her gloomy lens.Gloomy Lens I
cannot seem to see life through your lens: You see through the eye of the hurricane. For me: the sun’s always up; the clouds are always clear. You called me a lame optimist, but why Don’t you see that your catharsis was what drove you
backwards. I snore when I lay to rest. Your slumber is oft restless and stumbled. Your words scathe me; Nothing but abrasive shards into my tender ego. I oft find myself keening the blade, Readying to slit that tongue of yours in half. You seem to mistake sincerity for pity, and kindness for
weakness. I must depart. I can no longer endure the nocuous brooding. If I could foresee what’s to come, I would See long strands of lonely gray curtaining that gloomy
lens of yours. © 2015 Shane MohamedReviews
