Dust To Wind

Dust To Wind

A Poem by Shane Hogan Poetry

What is all, if there is no importance?
If those who remember,
forget, they are forgotten.
Drowned in seas of everything's noting.

Shadows are the image
of clay casting themselves from dirt.
Light is slowly abandoned;
Several truths are ignored.
We pride ourselves on height
but too many,
This is just the suns power over night.

Thoughts forever thinking,
have ceased before they started.
Blunt is the instruments tip,
we depend on to progress;
With solemn talk of contemplation,
interesting the stories worms will tell.

I like the first stanza especially and 'Light is slowly abandoned', your poem has sped up time making me think of things in a crumbling temporary world. I found this well thought out poem highly thought provoking in regard to the meaning of all things.
