Truth At Its Worst

Truth At Its Worst

A Poem by Shane Baker
"

this was a poem i wrote to express the giant loss i felt for when i had to get rid of my dogs. They ment alot to me, and this is how i felt

"

How can i feel anything anymore..
When all i do is listen to your wimpers?
How can i feel anything anymore..
When all i do is see your leaving?

I remember the day you left me,
they dragged you with force in chains.
All i could do is wonder why..
id never again be the same.

I watched you as you grew up,
fed you from my hands,
Healed you with my glory,
and watched you be my best friend.

Now my heart is broken,
and im standing in the dark,
Today i hear your wimpers and screams,
tomorrow im sure will do the same.

A sad poem. Animals are good friends that keep us company. I feel the disappointment and sadness in your words.
