How did I miss this?

How did I miss this?

A Poem by Shanna Teel
"

this is a poem about having the rug pulled out from underneath you.

"
Oh there it is
How did I not see this before?
It is not new.
No.
Just newly discovered.
But it's all so clear to me
in that forced grin
in that awkward interaction
you're distancing yourself from me
but it didn't go as smoothly as you planned
because I never took the hint
I refused to see it
I thought we were above this
honesty and openness on my part
deception on yours
I never saw it coming
and I never will again
my heart is no longer yours

Your stuffs are quiet interesting to read because they are all came from your own real life ..isn't it? You've got some cool knacks expressing your feelings into words and then impacting the reader's mind with your skilled words. It's, of course, a 'Meh' but I still like this piece. lol .. keep writing! Your just cool at writing, Shanna!

Subtle poem.
Descriptive, expressive.
It's very true.
Sometimes you don't realize things until its too late.
Keep writing!

usually deception starts ever so gently, subtly that we do not even realise it until it is very late...the poem is precise and well written.
