Something's Coming

Something's Coming

A Poem by Shaly Laevulins
"

Based on the prompt. "Look up at the sky. What's the weather like today?"

"

Darkening clouds float across the sky.

Not fast, but not slow enough

that they seem to be stuck in place.

There’s just enough chill in the August air

to make my hair stand up against my pale skin.

There’s a feeling in the air,

something new and not yet known.

I look up again,

out the same window I look through

and the sky has changed.

More dark clouds have moved in

and they seem to be moving faster.

I can feel it now.

More than just my being on edge,

I can finally sense what nature has been feeling.

Nature was right to react,

Because something’s coming.
