Come Face to Face with TemptationA Chapter by BodilessSoulOh Amy...The birds are chirping and flying around happily while squirrels scurry around, chasing each others tails. People ride around in their bicycles and cheerfully wave as they pass by. The perfect park... too bad that's not the type we have.
"Move it!" A five o' clock shadow screams at me as he whizzes towards me in a rusty bike. Before he can cause any damage to me, I hop off the sidewalk. Being the clutz I am, I fall backwards over a stray glass bottle.
"Woah there," a familiar voice says with a huff as he catches me before I fall to my death. Okay, not my death but who's to say there wasn't a broken beer bottle right where I was going to land?
"Kevin?" I said as I peered up at my savior. He grinned down at me and my breath caught. His brillient smile still made my heart ache. He wasn't looking shabby either with his golden hair shining in the sunlight and his blue eyes glowing. No five o' clock shadow here.
"As much as a damsel in distress as ever, I see," Kevin remarked as he helped me stand upright. I grimaced.
"Yup. Thanks," I muttered, averting my eyes. Do not look at his eyes, don't look. Don't look!
"Amy?" He said and my eyes snapped right onto his. Damn.
"Mhmm?" I managed. He glanced around and shifted his weight from one foot to the other, hands in his pockets. Was he... nervous?
"Amy, I think I made a big mistake," Kevin said. I blinked, my heart crumbling.
"Don't leave," I said, unable to help myself. Kevin glanced down at me and grinned.
"I wasn't going to. I meant..." He trailed off. My heart was lodged to my throat.
"Yes?" I urged. He bit his lip and sighed - a habit he'd picked up from me! Oh gosh, is it just me or am I pathetic?
"I meant... Amy, I meant that I want you back," Kevin said, bringing the magnetic force of his eyes into play as he stared into my eyes.
