Waves of Confusion

Waves of Confusion

A Poem by BodilessSoul
"

My life is at a turning point but I'm so confused...

"

Rush, it leaves

I breathe in, relief

Peace and calm, so clear am I

Happiness fullfilled but only for a moment

Before the tide rises, that which rushed away

Fastly coming back, wave

Rise and rise, crash

Suffication, can't breathe

Can't think clearly, I'm so lost

What am I to do?

I swim up

Which way is up?

Which way is down?

I'm so down

Down is everywhere

Up is nowhere

Sinking feeling

Everywhere

Can I save myself?

Can I be saved?

Can someone please save me!

I'm drowning ever so slowly

So deep in this wave

Then it receeds

Rejoice, wait...

It pulls me with it

I'm being consumed

What am I to do?

Which way is left, right?

Which way is wrong?

The confusion sets in, the darkness slips in

As the waves come crashing,

Piling on

Piling

Piling

Piling

Happiness slips away with the tide

As Up becomes Down

My Right becomes wrong

I've nothing Left.

Twist and turn, cartwheels in water

So weightless yet

Bound

By my ever constant confusion, I drown.
