Eccentric

Eccentric

A Poem by Shalena Taylor
"

I guess it is self explanatory.

"
I live this life of mine day by day not caring what happens or how it comes to be.
I live this day not thinking of the past, the future, or the present.
I drift in space alone and confused about this world that surrounds me.
I become singled out of the crowd by others.
I am scrutinized and talked about.
I am humiliated by my peers and hurt by my family.
I pray but am losing faith for my prayers seem to fall next to me not being noticed therefore not answered.
I have been given many special things that are bragging rights for me in the minds of the other.
I am not like others and shunned because of that.
Friends are like myths to me.
I am sad always and angry forever.
I will never figure out this thing called happiness if life always stays this cruel to me.
I want to be forgiven and never forgotten.
I will change lives, for I am eccentric.

This poem is quite sad but at the same time, I feel that thesubject is quite content being different. The only thing is you have to forget the parasites that hurt people. Really good write.
