Spiral StairsA Poem by ShaibelleWhat video games do to your head, kids. I love nonsense.-Geneva Willis-
I used to know what borderline was, That place where pavement mingles with red gravel, Where a dance was only intriguing at the ceilings of temples, and the jumping never stopped. I used to know why only deer grew antlers, but never bothered to check the facts. The place where I was endangered, chilled, and served. A place where the passion-fruit changed to jello, and the pineapple filling never tried to add itself. I used to know the world was fake, Snow was assured. My castle would wait and fill with penguins While I slipped beneath the trenches, To find the pedestal of worlds, But now, all we have is spiral stairs. © 2012 ShaibelleAuthor's Note
