Talking to CourageA Poem by ShaibelleCourage and I go out to a cafe and have a little chat.Talking to Courage -Geneva Willis-
So.
They Tell me you're courage.
The absence of fear, but complete with fear inside- they say you just ignore it and do whatever.
You remind me of wolves and heroes- do you know any heroes?
Are you a hero?
What do you think- you don't seem to talk much.
Quiet- the ability to hold the tongue- that must be courage.
The need to save the downtrodden- you've got that desire somewhere don't you?
Do you love her- that girl you're watching?
You never speak to her, you just observe.
We call you courage, but what are you really?
I think I knew you once- now I'm not sure we even pass on the street anymore.
I miss your company when the lights go out- I cry about it sometimes too.
I think I've lost you. © 2011 ShaibelleAuthor's Note
