Slowly Taking Over

Slowly Taking Over

A Poem by ShadowsIntoLight

Her eye’s they used to shine so bright,

A gray blue under the starlight,

She used to laugh, she used to smile,

She was so happy without denial.

But depression hit, so fast it came,

All she felt about herself was shame.

Her face got dull, her smile faded,

Her eyes were blue, but darkly shaded.

Her face turned so solemnly dark,

Her life seemed so useless without a start.

        Worthless she felt everyday,

Nothing could save her from self hate.

It wasn't until the day came to an end,

That in her bedroom she broke down and wouldn't have to pretend.

This poem as a good rhyme to it and seems very dark as it reaches into the depths of your soul.
