In A Moment

It's strange how in such a short time,
Someone can become important to you.
Someone who not long ago, 
You seemed to barely know.
This one person you barely noticed,
Somehow seeming to be everything you've ever wanted.
This person, 
This long lost prince of sorts,
Being the reason for your smile,
Your happiness.
And suddenly,
The world falls into place again.
And everything you believed in the past becomes a distant memory,
And he is your present,
And hopefully,
Your future.

A poem like this gives a person hope to find love in the future. This is so sweet. I loved the line "long lost prince of sorts." Nice alliteration and the sounds are perfect. It brings the idea forward that when you don't know somebody they're a nobody, a peasant. But when you get to know them, you view them as a somebody, a "prince of sorts." And they become your entire world. Good job! :)

I really like how much truth is in this piece, you can never tell who is going to be important to you or in what ways and sometimes it really does happen that fast.
