Of Sun And Shadow

Of Sun And Shadow

A Poem by Harry Mora

When nothing is left to tend to

Only distance stands between

This lonely drive to see you

How all these miles seem so obscene

Week to week and month to month

I gladly pay my dues

For those lonely times and travels

Seem a meager price for you

As our hearts grow fonder

And our days apart grow less

We see that these few times apart

Where simply no real test

Our hearts sway not so easily

And our love is no cheap thing

That we'd ever stray for company

Or allow another in

Now we grasp our futures

See they have merged as one

For I have become your shadow

And truly you are my sun....
