The turning

The turning

A Poem by Harry Mora
"

love doesn't always lead us down the right path, getting over a lost love can lead us even further astray

"
You watch in awe as you see me fade
We've seen the last of this masquerade
This mask was torn by the words you'd say
What's underneath will make you turn away

Bruised and broken I grew inside
Watched disgusted as the outside died

I rose from the ashes of this misery
A phoenix heart for everyone to see
My scars tell the story of a thousand pains
My mind reels in wonder of how I've stayed sane
