Unrequited Love

Unrequited Love

A Poem by Shadow

Everytime you laugh I smile...
Everytime you want to cry I cry for you...
But when you're so sad...
So broken...
I want to hold you in my arms...
Whisper sweet love to you...
Make all the pain disappear...
But I know deep inside this is not how it goes...
Not with you and I...
You'll only love me like a sister...
When I...
I want more...
I want your heart under lock and key...
In a jewelry box under my bed...
I love you...
And I can't stop...
You run through my head...
And it's impossible to stop thinking of you...
That smile that melts my heart...
That touch that sets me a fire...
That laugh that makes me weak at the knees...
Don't leave me...
And don't go to anyone else...
Cause I know...
You're the one for me...
You're eyes are closed and I...
I'm just...
Giving love...
But I will never receive it...
Because you can't never learn to open your eyes...
And see what's in front of you...
I know...
This poem...
Means nothing to you...
But everything to me...
These are my feelings...
And now...
Tear stained paper...
Is all that there is...
The smeared words...
Is how you smeared me on the ground...
Complete rejection...
But yet...
I still love you...
And always will...
