Thoughts Are Dangerous

Something I wrote after a break up with my now ex-boyfriend. He was going on about being depressed sadly inspired me heh... Enjoy.

They confuse the mind
They play tricks
They are evil
They are cynical
They eat away at the core
They make you feel bad
Sometimes good
They can ruin a process
Or create a revolution
distract you from reason
or infuriate you with regret
make you mad as a hatter
or leave you speechless with buzz
they can create music
or wanders of art
leaving you crying
or creating smiles
so much to do with them
They can create spells
Or create bad luck
Feel what others feel
or just make you wonder
remember the old
make way for the new
sometimes it's crazy
other times you smile
few times you cry
Feel mad
or feel the need to crash
Rarely evil
but they do come and go
but don't worry
there is no way to get rid
but there is a time to grow
make room for the smiles
push out the regrets
let the rain wash it away
or even imagine the world disappearing
yeah...
Thoughts can be a dangerous thing.

I too have gone through a break up recently. And it is crazy, like you have represented in your writing, the clash of thoughts that hit you during this time. They can all be radically different, yet they all lead to the same feeling...hope you are doing well. :)
