Silent Soldiers

Silent Soldiers

A Poem by ShadowWolf
"

"In memory and honor of all those who now serve and those who have gone before."

"

Each soldier stands

Hard and ready to serve

Each squad stands so

Silent and straight

As old Sarge would say

“Standing tall, looking good”

Each platoon

Dressed so perfectly

In long straight lines

Each company

So still, unmoving

As if waiting

For the next command

Army

Navy

Air Force

Marine

All are here

Each one

Of valor

Of courage

Already proved

Each dressed

All in hard

Cold grays

Each forever

Silenced

But never forgotten!

"Each dressed

somehow this part made me think of those who have gone...
it also made me wonder of the memories to whom you write to
hope you are well... and we will not forget as long as their are people like you
people who when thru the experience and bring us some first handed feelings from the heart

wow, you forgot to mention the "bathtub navy" aka Coast Guard... lol They deserve our appreciation as well though as they have been instrumental in times of war also.

Nice lil piece of patriotism concerning the armed forces.

Faerie Blessings.

Absolutely never forgotten. As long as you write beautiful homages to these men and women, none of use will EVER forget.

We must bring back the caring that I know exists within the heart of all who live here well, happy and content. You know how much that i have enjoyed this.

About
An "old man", not by choice in the sense of years since I am five years older than dirt and two years older than baseball. Age is simply a state of mind and that being the case then my mind tells me I.. more..
