A Wolf's Tears

A Wolf's Tears

A Wolfs Tears

Each night his eyes search the dark heavens.
Often clear skies allow the vision.
At times Mother Nature hides the view
Yet sight or no, the knowledge that you are there comforts.

Orion, Orion, at your shoulder he sits.
Betelgeuse
Oh how you glow! So red and bright!
Shining down the warmth of your love that fills the heart.
Still deep within the wolfs spirit the pain resides.

Oft times there is communion,
Your young words of wisdom,
Your biting humor so missed,
But most of that glowing smile.

Oft times there is silence,
Tis then longing grows,
Tis then the wolfs tears flow.

this is beautiful. We had a hybrid, 65% for 8 years. Raised him from the time he was 6 weeks old and when we moved from California to Ohio two years ago we had to leave him. It broke my heart. We were connected, we howled together at the moon, he was our faithful companion...when we stared into each others eyes as still as glass, truly we glimpsed eternity in wolf and women's depths.

This is tender and deeply sad ... he is ever with you, of course I know that you know.

About
An "old man", not by choice in the sense of years since I am five years older than dirt and two years older than baseball. Age is simply a state of mind and that being the case then my mind tells me I.. more..
