Given by the gods The greatest gift to Man Poets all dead and gone Poets great Poets renouned Poets wise and perceptive Poets like Raven Spirit and Phaedra Poets I know Poets like new friend Wildflower Poets like Dawn E. Key Those few I know Those many I do not So many poets here A poet I am most definitely not My words upon paper make no sense There is no rhyme, nor at times reason Oft times even I wonder at the meaning So I wonder why did I join? Dead? I wonder at times Poet? Most definitely not Society, no none would accept Silly old man, a poet you are not! © 2008 ShadowWolfReviews
