Daddy's Pride

Daddy's Pride

A Poem by ShadowWolf
"

Just reflecting on my kids

"
At each of your births
How I beamed with pride.

Each little accomplishment
Filled my heart so full.
That first step to Daddys arms.
That first day of school.
That report card
Perhaps not the best.

Oh, so many!
Each event
Each accomplishment
Filled my heart so full.

Beautiful daughters
Kelly and Laura.
Amazing sons
Bobby, Aaron, and Stephen.
My Christopher,
Oh how I miss you!

Still today grown and gone
My heart swells with pride
Of who you are
And what you have become.

Aw, this is adorable. A parent's pride is a beautiful thing.

The joy they feel

Just because

Of who we are

What we've become

The children.

Beautiful thoughts that those of us with grown children can resonate with, the memories, the moments, the highs and lows and hopes and dreams and the letting go that parents know.

i love this poem so much, it reminds me of the day i graduated and my dad came up, hand on my shoulder, and said "I'm proud of you, Honey."
it really warms my heart.

The isn't anything I can think of that has filled my heart more than my children and watching them grow and become loving, responsible and productive adults. I couldn't agree more, beautiful writing.

My friend, this felt very good to read ... I suspect that it felt good to write. I am glad that you are writing poetry.

An "old man", not by choice in the sense of years since I am five years older than dirt and two years older than baseball. Age is simply a state of mind and that being the case then my mind tells me I.. more..
