In My Thoughts

In My Thoughts

A Poem by ShadowWhysper

In My Thoughts

You steal my thoughts and haunt my dreams

Yet, a pleasant haunt it seems

Caught in a trance I sit and stare

As I see you sitting there

It brings a smile to see you grin

And all sorts of thoughts begin

To hear your voice and quiet laughter

Makes it hard to think of “after”

If only time could stand still awhile

Caught in the moment of a perfect smile

Memories grow and fondness too

As I sit and think of you

I can feel you here though you’re far away

You have found a place in my heart to stay

And though it may be a while yet

Before we have well and truly met

You are a friend that I hold dear

And in my thoughts you are always near
