A Soothing Touch

It is a night for thinking

It is a night for thought

Filled with many questions

Many answers sought

Walk alone in darkness

Drifting through your mind

Seeking calm assurance

Light you wish to find

The waves come up to meet you

As you walk along the shore

Erasing all the traces

Of those who've gone before

The stillness all around you

The comfort of the night

Helps you search for answers

Just beyond your sight

A sense if peace soon fills you

Though the questions still remain

The soothing touch of nature

Has calmed your soul again
