A Silent Time...

 

I cry myself to sleep at night

And wonder what went wrong

How can I be so weak

And yet appear so strong?

 

I wanted you to hold me close

And yet I made you leave

At the time I needed most

To trust you and believe

 

I didn't want to hold you

If you didn't want to stay

And when I asked you what to do

You didn't know what to say

 

So now my tears run freely

As I try to get some sleep

When all it is, really

Is a silent time to weep...
