A Silent Wish...

A Silent Wish...

A Poem by ShadowWhysper

A Silent Wish...

Waiting patiently for hopes to be fulfilled

For now, my cautious tongue is stilled

Am I wrong about what I think?

Will it all disappear with just one blink?

How I wonder what you feel for me...

I guess I'll just have to wait and see

Now is not the proper time

To start us on that special climb

To tell you does not seem fair

To hurt you, I wouldn't dare

Things must remain as they are

For now, I must observe things from afar..

Desire and caution battle deep inside

In you, my friend, I cannot confide

A gentle touch, a passing glance

Would fill my soul with warm romance

These thoughts of you, I must keep hidden

As, for now, they seem forbidden

As the days move slowly past

I wonder, will these feelings last?

To see you again, to hear your voice

In these pleasures I shall rejoice

As it stands, here I wait..

To see if you, my friend, are my fate
