Harmless HuntingA Poem by ShadowWhysperAnother poem inspired by Cecil the Lion's senseless death, I hope this tragedy will put an end to trophy hunting as we know it...Harmless Hunting I don’t agree with hunting for sport Not with a weapon of any sort Unless you’re going to eat what you kill Taking a life should never be for a thrill Use a camera to hunt your prey And let them live another day Frame the picture to put on your wall And let the image be admired by all It takes great skill to get that close And catch an animal in just the right pose More skill then hunting with a bow or a gun And it can be just as challenging and fun The animal can then remain alive And allow the species to survive Of that ‘trophy’ you could be proud And no revenge would need be avowed For others could enjoy the animal, you see As it remains alive and free… Harmless hunting of beautiful prey It should be the only way…
