A Little Optimism For This Pessimist

A Little Optimism For This Pessimist

A Poem by Shadow Star Crimson

Scars build the walls of this town.
Tears build the street of this path.
Fears build the boundaries of everyone's life.

Music lays forth a path, to show where to go.
Stories lay forth the truth of the heroism of every moment.
Words lay forth a building block for us to all grow upon.

So when you lay your head down at night,
Remember who you are, who you want to be.
And do not forget the things that have driven you.

Because though this world can scar you,
Can hurt you bad enough to fear it,
Can show you pain that will drive you to tears.

You also have the words that inspire you to move past it.
You have the music to motivate you farther then you knew you could reach
And you have the stories that will remind you that you have survived.

And it is true.
You are alive.
You beat your own odds.

You are powerful!
And baby you are strong.
And you can conquer anything you want.

So stand up, on the feet you have grown walking on.
Reach out, with the arms you have learned to show your strength.
And grab the dreams just in front of you

BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT!
