End of Us

End of Us

A Poem by Shadow Star Crimson

They pushed him down

I lay down my last weapon

To save the life of my beloved

Ill watch as the one I love lays motionless on the ground

Next to me though he wont know I’m near

And I realize what I have never told him

Now the words pour from me, the regret

He still doesn’t know

I knew I would tell him

But only after he told me first

But I want to say it now

Scream it

But my words are lost

Somewhere behind this depression

The one he can no longer see

The same one I use to hide from him

In fear he’ll run from it

Now alone and so far from him

Though he’s next to me

I grip my weapon once more

I pull it slowly

Savoring the pain

For it’s supposed to save me.

Wow. About committing suicide to be with your love again, correct?

Such a strong piece. Although suicide isn't a "wonderful subject", this was truly a wonderful poem. Reminded me a bit of Romeo and Juliet.

I like this a lot. It has a cool sense of static time, really captures a moment. The ending is very poignant. Well done!
