A white wonder

I made it up as I went...

 

Dancing across the snow-flaked ground,

A single breeze ruffles the hearts of all the children,

Playing, Laughing, Giggling, Screaming,

A day of absolute fun.

Snowballs race through the air, and snowmans are knocked down.

 

They might get hurt,

Which then, friends might comfort them,

 

Even the older ones are outside,

Sliding in the bright blue sleds,

Thinking red is so out of style.

 

After playing, and laughing, and

Having a good time,

All go inside to their mothers with hot chocolate,

And watch sports with their dad in the living room.

 

Late at night,

They all go to sleep,

Having the most fun they have had in a while,

Getting ready for the next day of school.

 

Hopefully the snow doesn't melt over the night.

Today was the awesomest snow-day ever!

Never had a snow day in my life. But this poem makes me wish i did. Damn me having to live in Australia where it never snows lol.
I can totally feel all the happiness and giddy-ness the children feel.
