Chapter Ten - Present (Chris's POV)

 

Still running… still running… still running… I began thinking about all that had happened to us. Eight good… Three evil… Two more evil to go. I didn’t want to meet them. I didn’t, I couldn’t, I wouldn’t. But I had to. I knew that the last two had Alex. I just knew it. I couldn’t stop now. I love her, and if I don’t save her, I’ll lose her forever. More tears leaked out of my eyes at the thought. I remembered the only kiss I gave her. When she was sleeping. She never felt it, and she never knew. Now I wished that I would have kissed her when she was awake, so she could feel the delight I felt, even though I only kissed her forehead. I have to save her.

I had to keep running… I was still running… still running… still running… still running…
