Prologue

 

I gripped her tightly, and whispered into her ear, “It’s ok, it’s ok… It’s over, please, calm down please,” I rubbed her back and stroked her hair, trying to calm her down. “Please, calm down.”

 

Blood covered my arms and it ran off her in streams. Her forehead was cut and so were her legs. Only my arms were damaged. Blood covered our clothes, and the ghost was gone. Or so we thought.

 

I picked her up and she buried her head into my chest, sobbing. “Shh, it’s alright…” I murmured to her. She nodded slightly, and passed out against me a few minutes later.
