Call For HelpA Poem by Tim SmithA true story about a friend of mine in a poem, debating on writing it in a short story. On the phone, hearing her cry Out of the wreckage she crawled With a cut and concusion she walked Cat calls she hears, she runs away from it all
Into the woods, from the ghosts of her past Fearful and fading she dialed fast I picked up, almost dropped, as i gasped For now no one can find her after the crash
I try to keep her talking, awake She faded to sleep as we continued to speak Thanks to my adivce shes is here today Alive and well, surviving the day © 2011 Tim Smith |
