Call For Help

Call For Help

A Poem by Tim Smith
"

A true story about a friend of mine in a poem, debating on writing it in a short story.

"

On the phone, hearing her cry
Moments ago she could have died
She called me, just to confide
Me of all poeple, "Will I Survive?"

Out of the wreckage she crawled
Half conscious, still alive through it all

With a cut and concusion she walked

Cat calls she hears, she runs away from it all

Into the woods, from the ghosts of her past

Fearful and fading she dialed fast

I picked up, almost dropped, as i gasped

For now no one can find her after the crash

I try to keep her talking, awake

She faded to sleep as we continued to speak

Thanks to my adivce shes is here today

Alive and well, surviving the day

This was the first one I read last night.
I like how it all flowed. It wasnt choppy.
When your reading it, or well when I read it I could actually picture it all.
I really love it :)
