Discovery

A Poem by Sarah Rose
"

For a treasured friend, although this isn't "the" poem

"

To speak volumes with

not a well-chosen word, but

with a touch and a tear.

To philosophize while

laughing, to find freedom

in crying.

To listen to my

dreams, for they speak more

than waking life.

To welcome my

desires, because I can,

and I deserve to.

To look in the mirror

and hear your voice

telling me I'm beautiful.

And at last,

I believe it.

I wrote this in about 30 seconds, unlike my other poetry, which takes days. Thoughts?

About
