The Morning AfterA Poem by Sarah RoseI decided to ditch the depressing stuff, at least for a little while. This recounts the bliss I felt one morning after a significant event in the past year.Sunday morning,
the smell of cucumber melon;
light falling
onto your smiling face,
peaceful in slumber
A good morning kiss
and a smile;
the sound of the shower.
Making the bed,
ecstasy.
A private whisper,
our little secret;
blushing,
stammering secrets.
A note on purple paper:
"To my baby girl,"
