The love I never had

The love I never had

A Poem by Sarah Rose
"

Imaginary friends; I love them :]

"
Not real, but present;
Not visible, but beautiful.
Not living, but not dead,
The ghost inside my head.

Less solid than air, but more important;
You stay in a corner, but hide you do not.
Never speaking a word, but the loudest thing in my mind.
Always so harsh, but terribly kind.

You erase my pain,
With your very existence.
Eliminate fear;
I am safe when you are near.

One day, I will no longer need you,
And fight my battles alone;
How I dread that day,
The day you go away.

That's an interesting rhyme pattern.
It's nice, Sarah. It makes me wonder what you're really writing about.

For having writers block, this is extremely good! I love the concept- hoping you're strong enough to let go and live without them but being scared to. The concept woven in with the rhyme and flow...it was awesome! Great job :]

About
I'm not the best writer. Most of my pieces are scattered thoughts that I weaved together into something even a little bit comprehensible. My "forte" is poetry, although lately I've been boycotting rhy.. more..
