Fragment

A Poem by ShadowCandy

All I know in the end

Is that I feel incomplete

Hollow somehow

Missing a vital piece

A cog, a spring, a lever, a key

Something that should be there

But is nowhere to be found

Close my eyes and see the void

Listen and hear the echo

The jagged sound of something shattered

All I’m left with is the shards

The fragments of what I could have been

It was torn from me

Ripped away in the dark

Tossed away and lost

And it left no remnant

Not a trace or shadow of itself

Behind for me to find

I am the happy victim of an overactive imagination. I get the feeling that if I hadn't started writing the voices in my head would have eventually succeded in driving me insane... or my head would hav.. more..
