The NightA Poem by ShadowCandyA poem originally written some years ago, recently reworked into the piece it is now.
The sweet song of the night Enchants me Calling me from home To walk among its dark wonders The starry sky stretches From horizon to horizon Covering the bare earth With a sparkling velvet softness The rustling of the trees Whispers a serenade from afar Meant only for me And the moon hangs low Luminous and waiting Wanting a good night kiss Before the dawn comes To mar the night with crimson And I’m to be left waiting For the sun to fall away Bereft and alone Wishing the night would return © 2008 ShadowCandy |
