TwoA Poem by Evangeline Allyson MonroeJust something I wrote when I was bored. The title is the first word of the poem, so make sure to read that and then read the words down the side, as they summarize the poem.
Two
roads make the traveler face a cold, harsh reality: they are going to have to choose. Maybe it is obvious and they have mapped out their entire route, but you can't plan the future, only that divine force beyond the human's ability to understand and comprehend can know exactly what you will face. There is but one road you can go down. Not two, not three, one. Which one? When faced with that choice we result to either logic or our feelings. "My home is north, the right path leads north, so it must be right." Is it the journey we look to, or is it the destination? What if both roads, right and left, north and south, brought you home? It does not matter what road you choose. We all end up in the same place, no matter what way you get there. It is our destination. © 2012 Evangeline Allyson Monroe |
