A traveler Cannot Stop Until He Reaches his Destination

A traveler Cannot Stop Until He Reaches his Destination

A Poem by Evangeline Allyson Monroe

I'm sorry for my trouble,
I'm sorry for my pain,
I'm sorry for when I left you,
Alone, standing in the rain.
I'm sorry for forgetting about you,
I'm sorry for not staying true,
I'm so very sorry for all of this;
It is too soon to say whether you deserve it.
I'm sorry for everything,
I'm sorry for me,
I'm sorry for this huge change
And what I now have to be.
I'm sorry for the past,
I'm sorry for the present,
I'm sorry that it was just another gag gift...
Remember how I used to give those?
I'm sorry for it all,
but what I am sorriest for is this:
I must leave you
In order to find out whose lies are true.
