Hidden

Hidden

A Poem by Robert Centner

Ragged spiral, diving down.
Deep within this twisted life.
I lay here staying at these four walls,
Trapped within and trapped outside.

Quite I stay, the friends that come.
Don't know the pain here within.
They read my words, and know so little.
Of who it is I really am.

Shy, cold, away I stay.
They shouldn't be concerned.
Worried, I think not.
Why? So I can leave this world clean.

Brisked away by nights wind.
Ride the sail of another moonlights beam.
Hidden from the light.
On the darker side of life.

Your poem Hidden is really well written. I love the beautiful imagery of "nights wind, and moonlights beam".

Here is the ending of a poem I wrote years ago:

Swimming in deep, dark waters
I am tired, so tired
Holding onto a single golden thread to keep me afloat
I follow a single ray of light
Leading me out of the darkness.
