True Beauty

True Beauty

A Poem by Lord_Shade

Only a man once blind,
Can appreciate the earth's beauty.
It's beauty is really seen,
Only by a bird, sky-high.
In this empty hall,
Even as I sit alone,
To Look through my window,
Is all I need do,
And behold! Such magnificent view.
A beauty one can see and feel
But cannot quite touch.
A beauty born of dust and water,
And strengthened by the sun.
Ravaged not, by man's foul deeds.
After all, it harbored the first man.
True beauty goes beyond the surface.
Such a beauty defies time itself.
The earth possess it.
And so do you.

About
There's not really much about me. I took up poetry last year ever since I can't live without writing at least one a day, even if it totally sucks. My preferred genre of story writing is fantasy and I'.. more..
